Nobody has to check. If the diary says a slot is free, the slot is free — and if the yard closes the day, it stops being offered.

One declaration per rider, on the rider's account — not one per school. The yard sees the fields it needs, for the booking it needs them for.

Settled before you arrive. The booking fee is its own line — 60p for each extra lesson in the same booking — and never comes out of the school's price.
Three things a phone call has no version of.
Everything above has an equivalent at the yard, done slower. These do not. No clipboard fills itself in for every school you will ever ride at, none of them remembers the horses you have ridden, and none of them puts a family on one account.
Fill the health form once. Not once per yard.
The declaration belongs to the rider, not to the school. Complete it once and it sits on your account, encrypted, ready for the next booking and the one after that. The participation waiver works the same way — signed once, per version.
Each school then sees the declaration for the booking that needs it. The share is scoped to named fields, it carries an expiry, and you can revoke it. A paper form handed over at the gate does none of those things — it goes in a drawer and stays there.

Every yard leaves a stamp. Every horse is remembered.
The passport sits in your dashboard. Ride at a school and it earns a stamp — the yard's name, its town, the month you first rode there. Ride a horse and the horse joins your list, with the number of times you have been put on it.
Rosettes come off completed bookings, so nothing is self-reported, and the empty slots show what is still there to earn. It is the part of Trottr that riders come back to look at.

One account. Every rider in the family.
Add a profile for each rider — their relationship to you, their experience level, the notes a school needs, and their own health declaration. Where the rider is a minor, the guardian confirmation is recorded against the profile.
Then everyone rides on one booking. One payment, one time, three riders on the yard's list for Saturday morning.

A person read the listing
Every school is read by someone at Trottr before it can take a single booking. Never an automated check, never a form that publishes itself. If a listing is live, a person has been through it.

The safety record is kept in the product
Daily safety checks — all twelve — incidents, near misses, PPE confirmation for each session and horse welfare, logged in the yard rather than in a folder. Every entry is timestamped and attributed, and nothing is ever overwritten.
A correction adds a line. It never rewrites one.

Riders pay a booking fee at checkout — £2.95 for the first lesson and 60p for each extra lesson in the same booking — shown as its own line and never taken out of the school’s price. No fee at all when you pay with account credit or a gift voucher. Gift vouchers, lesson bundles and discounted last-minute places are all here too.
